We have exciting news. Our fourth issue will be Halloween-inspired, which means we are looking for poetry, flash fiction, and short stories with a creepy, speculative, or otherwise unusual bent.
We’re open to horror, speculative writing, and the just plain odd, as long as your submission is literary. “Root Cellar” and “Orchids” by Theodore Roethke are good examples of creepy poems we like. We’re also fans of Angela Carter and her fairy tales, and we’ve published apocalyptic short fiction before. We aren’t just looking for vampires and werewolves (we’re not on the market for Twilight-inspired pieces)–surprise us with something written well with hints of the strange, the fantastical, or the horrible. We’re looking for the subtly spooky. You can find general submission guidelines on our submissions page. Send your work to email@example.com by September 30, 2014.
We also just launched our fourth issue’s Kickstarter! We’re offering rewards ranging from copies of the fourth issue to art prints and personalised poems, so check it out. The Kickstarter will be running until September 30 as well.
